Consultation Fees
Consultation fees are as follows and are charged according to complexity as well as time. The independent tenant doctor will determine the out of pocket fee if applicable.
Fees as of 1st July 2024
Pensioners & Healthcare card holders will be charged a Gap payment on Level C and Level D (Longer Consults)
Veterans’ Affairs card holders will be bulk billed.
For a minor surgical procedure (e.g. removal of skin lesions) there will be a gap payment of $65.00 to cover the increased costs of disposable items. An additional $10-$30 may apply for dressings to partially cover the increased cost of dressing wound care items.
We request that the full amount is paid on the day via cash, cheque, bankcard, Visa, Mastercard or EFTPOS. To facilitate the prompt refund of the Medicare rebate to you, we offer to send your account online to Medicare at the time of the consultation or directly into your savings or cheque account. In order to receive your rebate, Medicare must hold your bank details. If this is the case, the rebate will be put in your account within approximately 24 to 48 hours. If you would like to lodge your bank details with Medicare, please ask one of our staff for a form which you can fill and submit to a Medicare office. If you have any difficulty paying our fees at any time please do not hesitate to discuss it with us.
